Spaying & Neutering – We strongly recommend spaying and neutering all cats and dogs. We provide pain medication to make the surgery as easy as possible for your pet.
Vaccinations – Vaccines are an important part of our preventative medicine. We are constantly updating our recommendations, and base our decisions on the specific needs of your pet. Our main concern is keeping your pet healthy!
Prescriptions – We have an extensive in-house pharmacy so you can pick your medicines up right here- right when you need them.
Boarding – Our new hospital has 8 spacious indoor runs to house large dogs, as well as facilities for small dogs and cats. If any medical issues arise while you are away, your pet will be in the right place!
General Medical Care – We pride ourselves on taking care of your pets as though they were our own. When they are not feeling well, we do our best to help them get better – and to make it as good an experience as possible for you.
Digital Radiography – Eldersburg Veterinary Hospital is one of the few local veterinary hospitals to use computerized X-rays! Our system has many features that allow us to better evaluate our patients’ X-rays and, when necessary, to make a CD-Rom of the images to send to specialists.
In House Blood Work –When you’re pet is sick, it is comforting to get full blood work results right away. We are able to run a CBC, serum chemistry profile, electrolytes, and thyroid level within just 30 minutes.
Dentistry – Our newest piece of equipment is our dental machine! Every dental patient benefits from this as we ultrasonically scale, clean, & polish the teeth and examine the mouth and teeth. Our high speed drill enables us to extract teeth when necessary. All dentistry is performed under general anesthesia.
Surgery – All our doctors are experienced surgeons. We perform elective surgeries such as spaying, neutering, and lump removals. Our surgery days are Monday to Friday, with emergency surgeries when needed. Surgery patients are monitored by experienced technicians at all times.
Microchipping – Did you know that one out of three pets will become lost in their lifetime? We offer the HomeAgain Microchip implant, which allows veterinarians, animal hospitals and shelters, and humane societies identify found pets, contact the owner, and reunite the lost pet with its owner.
