• Dr. Ruderman

    Jill Ruderman, DVM

    Dr. Ruderman graduated from the Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine in 1998.  She served as a relief vet for some time and joined our practice in 2006.  Dr. Ruderman is married and has two children. She has a particular interest in cats and has fostered numerous orphaned kittens. She travels often to show her cats one of which recently appeared in famous designer's fashion campaign. In this photo, she is holding Daisy.

    Dr. Ruderman has two Basset Hounds named ET and Cinnabun, four goats, and two sheep. She enjoys travel, especially for the cat shows.
  • Michelle Easter, DVM

    Dr. Easter graduated from the Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine in 2011. She joined EVH in 2018 after briefly serving as a relief vet, prior to that she has worked in general practice and an emergency hospital. Dr. Easter is married to her high school sweetheart and has 2 children. She has particular interests internal, behavioral and emergency medicine as well as wellness and preventative care.

  • Dawn Reaver

    Dawn, our Director of Operations, has been with EVH since 2001. Previously a receptionist and technician she as promoted to her current position in 2018. She has two children and a beautiful Golden mix named Phoebe (pictured here). 
    She enjoys running, traveling, outdoor activities as well as spending time with her children.

    April Hahn

    April, our newly appointed Office Manager, has worked at EVH as a technician and receptionist since 2011.  She was hired after completing a high school internship and briefly worked at another hospital where she honed her skills in surgery and emergency medicine.  April has a beautiful daughter and sometimes fosters pets in need of adoption.
    April's family owns several cats, 5 dogs, a rabbit, several cows, ferrets, and a few reptiles. In this photo, she is holding our house cat, Bernie.

    Christine Rico

    Chris started working at EVH in 2006 and has been a Veterinary Technician for over 30 years.  She has worked in primary care, emergency, and neurology specialties. She works at EVH only on Saturdays.
    Chris likes to go hiking with her three German Shepherds. She is also passionate about spaying and neutering feral cats and has adopted several stray cats of her own.

    Amy Smith

    Amy has been working at EVH as a Veterinary Technician/ Receptionist since 2006. She was certified as a Veterinary Assistant at Carroll Community College and has worked many years in the dairy industry. Amy and her husband have two children.
    Amy has two dogs, a cat, and nine dairy cows/heifers.

    Tracey Werner

    Tracey, our Client Services Director, has been working at EVH since 2011 with a total of 13 years of veterinary experience.  A professional pet sitter, she is married and has three children. Tracey updates our Website and Facebook page, which can be searched under "eldersburgvet" -- Please like our page if you prefer to receive the latest hospital information via social media.
    Tracey has a Danetiff (Great Dane/ Mastiff mix) and a Dogue de Bordeaux. Her hobbies include attending her children's numerous sporting activities and spending time with family & friends. She enjoys working with large breed and difficult-to-handle dogs.

    Ailene Muhlhauser

    We welcomed Ailene to EVH in May 2016.  She is a Registered Veterinary Technician with years of surgical experience. She has previously worked in emergency care and at another veterinary hospital. Ailene is married and has one child.
    Ailene enjoys bird watching, hiking and biking. She has 2 dogs, a cat, 4 box turtles, chickens, geese, and ducks.
  • Anna Dressler

    Anna was hired as a Veterinary Technician at EVH in May 2018 after interning during her senior year at Century High School. She is currently studying to become a Registered Veterinary Technician. She has a plethora of animals including 2 dogs, 2 cats, 3 horses, cows, ducks and chickens.
    Anna enjoys being outdoors and riding horses.
  • Kelsey Herriotts

    Kelsey joined EVH in June 2018 as a Veterinary Technician, with 6 years previous experience in the veterinary field. She has a menagerie of pets including 3 dogs, 1 cat, 4 goats, 1 horse and a guinea pig. Kelsey is married and has 1 child.
    In her spare time Kelsey loves being outdoors, working with animals, horseback riding and traveling.
  • Lauren Oliver

    Lauren, a Howard County native, joined EVH in September 2018 as a Receptionist & Veterinary Technician, with 2.5 years previous experience in the veterinary field. She has a multitude of animals including 2 German Shepherds, 1 Brittany Spaniel, a horse, rabbits and chickens. She is the mom to one daughter.
    Lauren enjoys being outdoors with her daughter caring for farm animals and riding horses.
  • Taylor Long

    Taylor joined EVH in October 2018 as a Veterinary Technician & Receptionist, with 6 years previous veterinary experience. She is currently a student at Stevenson University majoring in Biology and minoring in Environmental Science. She has 3 cats and 2 dogs at home.
    Taylor enjoys being outside, horseback riding, pet sitting and hanging out with her friends.
